david after the dentist

This is a funny video!! I can imagine how he feels, I had like 6 teeth pulled out when I was little and when they gave me laughing gas I remember thinking I was inside of a factory and things on the moving belts were going in my mouth and all the workers had BIG heads!! heheh. Wooo good times.

spring break finally!!!

(People on the board walk practicing surfing, Brandon is going to try it next time!)

Last weekend we finally started Spring Break! It has definitely been a well deserved break :-) (we're still on it until next weekend). We decided to take the first chance we could to get the heck away from here!! Sooo we booked a weekend at Bahia resort hotel in San Diego. It was really affordable (remodeled) and little did we know that it also came with a kitchen and living room area :-) The hotel is right on the Mission Bay! And only down the street from Belmont Park and Mission Beach. I would recommend this place! Everyone should go there instead if paying the same for a crappy hotel miles away next to the freeway!!

Ok enough of my amazement on the hotel... :-).....during our little trip we managed to visit the beach, skated around, went to Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, and San Diego Zoo. We've been to San Diego lots of times but there's always new things to see. That's what makes it so fun there! We love the laid back feeling of living by the ocean and the music and good food that's everywhere. Hope to live by the beach someday.. :-)

Peacocks walking around the Zoo. Their feathers are awesome!

I love Galapagos tortoises and this guy was too cute! His arms are sooo pudgy!

cutest elephant ever!

Cafe in Little Italy.. we loved pretending to be at the actual country :-)

Bahia Belle cruise boat... the hotel owns this and can take you around the bay. it was very chilly at night though!
The End! Now we have the rest of the week to re-gain our strength for the last few months of school :-)

heart walk

What a lovely weekend with some nice weather!! I got to spend a lot of time outside at the heart walk, went hiking, and bike riding at the park with Brandon. Can't wait for this spring weather!

Since I am the VP of the ASU Student Nutrition Council (SNC) and have to prepare events, last weekend I organized a team for the Phoenix Heart Walk at Tempe Beach Park. It was primarily ASU Nutrition Students. Lots of fun! Even though we had to get up bright and early on a Saturday morning (that's asking a lot out of students!-haha), it was way worth it. We raised a good amount of money for the American Heart Association. It was the first time our group has done this walk and so I didn't really know what to expect. The event consisted of two different walks. One was a mile and the other a 5k. Of course we had to do the 5k! I couldn't believe how many people were there. Some of the walkers were trying to run, but weren't very successful :-p After the walk there was a heart healthy festival with free deliciously healthy chips and free water. There was also tons of booths and bands playing. We just stayed for a little bit after, but it was great to see all the people who got involved with this. Especially those who walked for someone who has been effected by CHD or stroke.

"Since 1924 the American Heart Association has helped protect people of all ages and ethnicities from the ravages of heart disease and stroke. These diseases, the Nation's No.1 and No.3 killers, claim more than 910,000 American lives a year. The association invested more than $543 million in fiscal year 2005-06 for research, professional and public education, and advocacy so people across America can live stronger, longer lives."
